That’s awesome. I was never a Forrest Gump fan, but I loved Gary Sinise as both Wallace and Truman. Two of the best TV movies I ever saw.

He was also excellent in Of Mice and Men. Mr Sinise seems like an all round good fellow: he does a lot of work with veterans and their families, runs a whole foundation for them in fact, and that puts him high on my list. It’s pleasing to hear he is entering the Church!

Entered. Gary Sinise converted to Catholicism in 2010. 😉

I’m happy he continues to wholeheartedly embrace the faith. :+1:t3: 🙏

His work with veterans is very admirable. My family of veterans is very moved by his work and his humble ways.

I have always admired him. He entered the
Catholic church 2 years after I did. Now that
I know he is Catholic I have more reason to
like him.

“There was a hurricane coming to Wilmington,” Sinise recalled."He told his wife we’ve gotta get out of here. "While we’re driving, the hurricane was blasting behind us. She turns around and says, ‘I’m going to the Catholic Church and I’m going to become a Catholic.’
I’ve loved him from Forrest Gump days. The scene where Lte Dan fights with God on the deck of shrimp trawler in the middle of the raging storm that then cuts to him floating in the placid water the next morning, always make my heart leap and brings tears to my eyes. I guess from reading the story of being caught in the hurricane I can now see why it is such an authentic soul moving scene!
