I have two beautiful boys aged 3 and 5. I find myself drained of energy around half way through the day when I have days off to spend with them. Anyone have any play ideas that doesn’t require much physical energy?
I totally understand

My grandson just turned 4 and he is a bundle of energy. The indoor activities we promote: I read to him a LOT, legos, blocks, puzzles, bean toss, cooking, play doh, balloons, ( I don’t care for noisy games).
I get the HUGE boxes from Costco and make cities, spaceships, apartments (imaginary). Just use duct tape to glue everything. You don’t need to be an artist. He LOVES it!!! puts all his figures inside and it’s free.
I try to focus on activities that are hands/on and educational. Lots of drawing/coloring, etc.
outdoors: zoo, science mosi, parks, beach (we’re in Florida). scooter, balls, bike.
When I’m very tired. I grab a chair and toss the ball/frisbee, etc, bean bag and I ask him to run and catch the ball for me and then I keep throwing it around.
Nature Activities very important: we go outside with a magnifying glass and net and start looking for ladybugs, critters, etc. Place them carefully in the bug catcher for observation and then release. Rock collecting, leaf collecting…
Blessings!!!
