It’s his stage name, but Torn is his actual last name. He was the voice of the bear in Toy Story 3, “Lotso”.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace.
May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Amen.

There is no telling how many television shows and movies he had some part in over his long career.

Here he is playing Judas betraying Jesus in the 1961 “King of Kings”.

Performance is fine, but that bad Beatle wig they put on him…would have been better just letting him grow out his own hair.

Here he is as a super young hood in a 1956 “Alfred Hitchcock Presents”.

I guess I did. I was convinced it was Rip Torn. :woman_facepalming:t2:

That probably would have been a better casting choice. That gravelly, whiskey-soaked voice …

I’m surprised no one has said this yet:

R.I.P., Rip.

I mainly remember him for his role in the first Men In Black. Just rewatched that a couple of weeks ago the night before seeing the new one. The original in that series will always be the best.

Maybe that’s why I got confused and remembered incorrectly. Ned Beatty normally didn’t play villains, did he?

I remembered he was married for a really long time to Geraldine Page till she died. Apparently their apartment doorbell had the words “Torn Page” over it.

Bumbling Otis, henchman of Lex Luthor from Superman 1 and 2, if Otis counts as a true villain.
