Ad block problem

The thing that tells you to disable ad block is broken- I already have disabled it, yet it still keeps popping up. Help! I barely have time to do anything.

Check your anti-virus software settings which may block pop-ups.

Yeah, somethings is wrong. It’ll happen sporadically for me too.

It’s fine at the moment.
 
I get the prompt every time I log in even though I’ve already disabled adblock for this site. So, now I have to enable adblock and then disable it again each time I log on. It’s really inconvenient.
 
I get the ad block message occasionally when I’m using my phone, but not with my computer. Of course, with either device, I’m still seeing all of the ads quite prominently 😒
 
Sometimes strange things can happen here.

Somehow I ended up getting logged out, and that kept happening every single time that I tried going back in.

I think that I ended up bringing up a new browser page for CAF, and I also closed out my computer too and signed in again.

You can try doing these things and see if they help.

Sometimes things will just kind of “get stuck” so to speak, and when you sign out and sign in again, or try refreshing the browser page, etc., it resets everything.

Resetting your browser page is another thing that you can try doing.

If you’re on a computer, you can just try right-clicking and you’ll get a drop-down menu that will either show a reload or refresh option, depending on your browser that you’re using.

Click on that option, and then that refreshes the page that you’re on.

Sometimes that’s all that you need to do to get things moving again, and that’s what I usually try and do first before I try anything else.

Otherwise, I will shut down the computer completely, and then try signing in again, or like I said, also close out the CAF page and open a whole new page/tab/window completely, and try signing in again with a new page. 🙂

Sometimes it takes a bit of trial and error to figure out what’s going on.
 
Was on here and logged in about 3 hours ago on my tablet - no problems. Tried logging in on my tablet again about 5 mins ago an can’t see the forums just to read and certainly can’t log in due to the pop up "“Oops - we see you are using an adblocker” etc which blocks the whole screen!! Refreshing the page does nothing as after several seconds the pop-up reappears.

I do not have an ad blocker even installed on my tablet anywhere or as part of another program. This is very frustrating and the result is I am frozen out from the forums. It is not always possible for me to use my desktop PC (which am currently on now).

Anyway I have emailed Catholic Answers about this and hopefully will hear back soon, with this issue being rectified.

(Don’t have adbocker etc on any of my devices - desktop PC/tablet/phone.)

Don’t know what else to do.
 
As of a day or two ago, the main page won’t even load under the beta release of MacOS/Safari.

I logged in with firefox, and, wow, the ads are so thick that it’s hard to find the posts . . .
