I deal with the same issue. It is very difficult with our phones having access to the internet.
If you have an android phone (and possibly Iphone, not sure), Spin Browser has a built in filtering system. If you find sites that they don’t filter, you can email them and they’ll check the site out. I’ve found it to be very helpful, though I need to find a good way to lock down my other browsers if I want it to be completely effective.
Now, if you’re looking at stuff on your work computer, just keep in mind that they likely can see where you’re browsing to. They may not actively monitor, but all internet traffic is readable. That fact alone, never mind that it could cost me my livelihood and ability to care for my family, has always been more than enough to keep me clean on work computes.
If you are married, or if you are part of a men’s support group, Covenant Eyes in an excellent program that not only provides a filter, but also sends a list of any inappropriate sites you go to to an accountability partner.
If there are particular apps / sites that cause you trouble, uninstall them or block those sites through your router.
Above all, try to find a men’s support group in your area. The longest periods of sobriety I’ve had are when I’m attending one. If you’re in the Dallas-Fort Worth area (Texas), my group is called St. Augustine’s Men’s Purity group. If not, then look around for a group in your area.
Let’s see…
Integrity Restored and Fight The New Drug are both excellent sites. ( I can’t recall them offhand, a google search should get you there.)
… There are other sites dedicated to helping people overcome this addiction. Even non-religious people have started recognizing pornography as an issue. There’s a group call NoFap that discusses non-religious tools and groups you can use to help get clean.
Hopefully something in this will help.
As always, prayer is the strongest tool in your arsenal.
