Before I came back to being Catholic I had purchased an MP3 Bible and I still love that but yeah… doesn’t have everything. There are Catholic MP3 Bibles too I’ve seen. If I someday either get to fix my old MP3 player OR someday buy a new one (that’s a far far ways away) I’d love to have the Catholic Bible on MP3. I think about faith comes by hearing… well, maybe that’s why I was so into listening? Don’t know. But waiting for the bus, en route to work, during lunch, ride home, I would be listening to my audio Bible usually. I still am floored how I ‘missed it’ 20+ years ago and more… but I can’t rewrite the past… what I do now and forward is what I can still control.
I loved my Amplified Bible, I COULD read that one easy… had bigger print, didn’t need my magnifying glass on bad eye days… for the most part don’t even have those anymore. I think now it’s just not letting myself get stressed.
Especially loved listening through the Proverbs and Psalms often.

sourceSt. Jerome considered the seven Deutero-Canonical books to be NOT inspired by God, but he was commissioned by Pope Damasus to translate all 73 books into Latin. Pope Damasus considered the 7 DC books to be inspired by God. Later in 1946, after the finding of the dead-sea scrolls, it was discovered that these 7 DC books were used by the Jews in Alexandria, even in their services. This verifies that Pope Damasus was correct.
