Would deferring giving the injection to another RN also give the BC counseling to them as well?
On one side, they’re getting the injection whether or not you give it yourself, right? Or do you get a chance to council them before the injection is given?
My guess is that the patient has pretty well decided on the injection by the time you’re giving it…but if you have the opportunity to council them, perhaps offering NFP as an alternative…you could be in the position to do some real good. On the other hand, if they know that you personally are having someone else give the injection for “religious” reasons, it may give them pause to think about what they’re doing.
