While I was in adoration today, a group of ladies started saying a prayer out loud in Spanish. I do not know what they were praying because I don’t speak spanish.

It was very disturbing so I left. Is it acceptable to pray out loud in adoration?

My understanding is that one should pray silently at adoration. The exception would be if it were published that “the Rosary will be recited at 3:00 PM” on Tuesdays, or whatever. If you are alone in the chapel, I would think it would be okay to speak your pray aloud, but in a quiet voice.

I agree, the Adoration Chapel is Holy Ground and
one should keep silent, to preserve the sanctity of
the place, plus, it would destroy the thot processes
of the others, it is NOT a place for speaking out
prayers, it’s just like bringing kids to adoration.

At many Adoration chapels, there are specific times set aside for group prayers said out loud, such as the Rosary, the Divine Mercy, or various Holy Hour prayers.
If you want a silent prayer time, ask the Adoration coordinator what times the prayer groups meet and then plan your visit for another time.
