Try prostrating if you dare.

I started to prostrate on the side isle lately and it is just awesome. Last night I prostrated for one whole hour with my face down to the ground and prayed. After getting up and sitting on the pew continuing to pray, tears naturally fell down and I wept. That was indeed tears of cleansing. I felt so close to Jesus, physically spiritually and emotionally.

Actually, I’ve brought my novels in to ask Jesus to help me make them glorify Him and help others to know Him.
Pope JPII used to write in front of the Blessed Sacrament.

this is one of my favorite lists - consider this your personal audience with the Lord - be comfortable (physically) and pour your heart out to Jesus who loves you. Be sure to save time to just listen…

25 Ways to Spend an Hour With Jesus
  1. Slowly read scripture until something hits you. Then listen.
  2. Say a rosary.
  3. Let God look at you.
  4. Tell Him something that made you happy. Then listen.
  5. Tell Him what you are afraid of. Then listen.
  6. Tell Him what angers you. Then listen.
  7. Speak about your loved ones.
  8. Pray for an enemy.
  9. Talk with Him about work.
  10. Sing a song for Him in your heart.
  11. Promise to trust Him.
  12. Imagine Mary sitting next to you and praying with you.
  13. Renew your loyalty to His Church.
  14. Lean on Him. Tell Him you love Him.
  15. Thank Him for the Sacraments.
  16. Tell Him your failures. Ask for help. Then listen.
  17. Slowly recite the Beatitudes.
  18. Say one Our Father slowly.
  19. Say one Hail Mary slowly.
  20. Say the Apostles’ Creed slowly.
  21. Pray for vocations.
  22. Ask Him to show you the next step.
  23. Look at yourself. Count your gifts. Then thank Him.
  24. Pray for the world.
  25. Enjoy just being in His presence.
This is a wonderful list. I’m going to print it and bring it to adoration with me!!👍

There used to be a thing called 40 Hours at my old high school, where it was 40 straight hours of adoration… an amazing thing! Anyway, I remember the chaplain (who is a very cool person by the way) telling everyone that they could kneel or sit, pray the rosary or contemplate, or even do homework in there as long as they were mindful of Our Lord’s presence.

you should go down on both kneels and bow low.
thank you so much… I didn’t even know that before today… now I can finally do it right, I’m so glad I found this thread so I could learn about this.
