Advice for a new husband

Well, it’s been a busy week for me. Baptism/Confirmation/First Communion on Wednesday, married on Saturday! It was all amazing!!! Anyway, I’m looking for advice. Not any specific advice, just any random advice you can give me about being a new Catholic, and/or being a new Catholic husband.
 
Welcome Home!! So happy your journey has brought you to the Catholic Church. And congratulations on your marriage.

Put God at the center of your marriage. Pray with your wife.

Be a Spiritual Leader to your family. You are the most important role model to your wife and children. They will follow your lead (right or wrong:p:p)

Random advice: Don’t sweat the small stuff. Before starting a disagreement, ask yourself “How important is it?”. This will help eliminate fighting over silly stuff.

At the end of the day, ask your wife "Is there anything I could have done to make your day better?

Remember, this is the One you would take a bullet for. Make sure she knows she’s that important to you.

If you don’t already, I would recommend setting aside time to pray with your wife (apart from Mass or grace before meals ) Our family says evening prayer together and it’s been wonderful for us. Neither my husband nor I grew up in homes that prayed much so it was awkward at first, but we’re happy we got over that. 🙂

Also, Listen attentively, perform acts of mercy together… Spend time in adoration of the Real Presence in the Blessed Sacrament. Pray the rosary and Chaplet of Divine Mercy daily AND together.

Congratulations on all these beautiful moments of GRACE!!
