Thanks, I hope it works out too. I was telling him about my online dating experiences and he wasn’t surprised I didn’t meet anyone because he assumes online is just for casual sexual relationships so he avoids it. I met him near my house and we know the same people and do the same activities. He’s involved with activities with my dad as well, which is why he might want to take it slow.

I’ve never done Ave Maria but would read about people’s experiences at it on CM because it seems many there were also on AMS. There were some strange people at CM and even though I am very devout and pretty conservative (though am conservative independent, not either party)most were way too extreme for me. On the secular sites it was the opposite and met several guys who were too liberal. Kind of funny that I was too liberal for the religious sites and too conservative for the secular ones. I actually had my first profile on Plenty of Fish deleted because too many men complained that I was too religious.

Some sites prolly are.

Slow is good. Well, prudent, at any rate. 😉

Yes, I’m an independent too. That’s weird you were deleted for being too religious. Couldn’t they just search elsewhere if they didn’t like it? 🤷😛

You’d think they would have just ignored me, but apparently no. My profile stated that because I am Catholic I need a man who is able and willing to marry in church and am not open to dating divorced or never married dads. I think it was a bit shorter than that but that’s the idea. Yet so many men complained because of it. They would contact me and send abusive messages about it which made no sense to me.

Many people I think would get annoyed by going slow but I actually prefer it. With this guy because we do see each other all the time we find that we truly like each other. I’ve met his family and he knows mine (in fact him and my dad are co-hosting an event together this summer). The chemistry with him is amazing and it gets stronger every time I see him. With online it often has to be immediate or people get bored.
