I don’t. Women, as many feminists such as myself will acknowledge, are every bit as guilty of all of the above as men. I would have no problem with the respective genders being reversed.um… I can’t help but think this is degrading to men. I can’t help but think if a man was to post something about waiting to meet a good wife and use all those negative descriptions on women, the feminist would be all over him

Yeah, well, we can take it and are used to it.um… I can’t help but think this is degrading to men. I can’t help but think if a man was to post something about waiting to meet a good wife and use all those negative descriptions on women, the feminist would be all over him

I take it that men are already smart enough to stay away from crazy women. Women on the other hand apparently have to be told to stay away from homeless, drug-addled dead beats… seems more offensive to women to me.um… I can’t help but think this is degrading to men. I like that you take that view. The poor-az bothered me.
Poor does not mean lazy nor financially irresponsible. Plenty of stable, and even successful people have taken jobs for the experience, or put themselves through school, or have been temporarily unemployed earlier in their careers. Rejecting them because they’re currently poor is messed up.
I don’t know if I’d say degrading to men so much as it is an example of some pretty snotty humor. If someone’s actual dating choices had been referred to in that way, the woman would be right to take insult. Besides, how much respect is implied by the phrase, “respects Yoaz”?um… I can’t help but think this is degrading to men. You’re right, it is meant to be lighthearted, so maybe I shouldn’t spend much time thinking about it. But there are so many people out there who judge others on money… especially here in CA. It really grosses me out when women ask what car you drive, or what your zip code is, etc… when it’s obvious they are fishing for materialistic info.I like that you take that view.
Some people might be very, very intimidated to date a person who is more well off, or educated then them, for fear of being thought of as ignorant, or poor…etc. Even though they are beautiful, intelligent people with good hearts.
I wouldn’t take this gif too seriously though, it’s funny only because of play on words…![]()
I feel the same likewise towards men that do this. You’re right, it is meant to be lighthearted, so maybe I shouldn’t spend much time thinking about it. In that light yes, it is offensive to womenI take it that men are already smart enough to stay away from crazy women. Women on the other hand apparently have to be told to stay away from homeless, drug-addled dead beats… seems more offensive to women to me.![]()
On the contrary, if memory serves - did she not in essence approach Boaz? It seems the moral would be that one waits patiently until one finds a good opportunity - and then pouncesI didn’t appreciate the wordlplays. They were supposed to be brilliant and showy, ended up being half-intelligent.
Waiting patiently is one thing (and obviously, that part is right: wait patiently and don’t settle for guys who lie, cheat, beat you etc.), waiting passively and not being approachable is another. Ruth wasn’t at all passively sitting in an ivory tower.
Yes, she did. And there was a whole big apologetics story about that (in two instalments) by a female apologist who encouraged women to make a proactive move.On the contrary, if memory serves - did she not in essence approach Boaz?
