Hi, it’s ash wednesday, but i’m not in a position to go to church and recieve ashes, what should i do?

if u are unable to get to Mass, then you’re unable to get to Mass. go if you can, but there’s no sin if you can’t.

Observe the day of fast and abstinence, if you are physically able to do so, and spend time in prayer and meditation on the scriptures of the day. Ash Wednesday is not a day of obligation. It is a sign of beginning our penance. For you, begin the penance without the sign.

You can begin by joining the CAF Lenten Retreat 2006. For those who are unable to begin Lent with daily Mass, etc. it is ideal. The ash’es are merely a sign, not ovligatory.
