hey,

im not sure if this was where i should post it. But i was reading about circumcision, and came across something called foreskin restoration. which is basically stretching the skin using different techniques back over the head. would something like this be morally acceptable? i know circumcision is ok as long as it is not done for religious reasons becasue we have been released from that, but is there anything wrong with an man doing such stretching to regain the lost foreskin?

Why on earth would you want to do such a thing though? Women (and I know a few and am one myself) don’t tend to have issues with foreskin or lack of. Why men would is beyond me.

Can’t really think of any reason that isn’t related to pure vanity.

Learn to accept your body as it is, and donate the money you’d spend on such ridiculousness to provide surgery for someone who genuinely needs it - a burns victim or some such.

im not saying i would, and there is no surgery involved, it can be done completly non surgically. there are comfort reasons associated with desiring to do such.

More comfortable to have a foreskin? :hmmm: If the candidate is in substantial discomfort or actual pain because of it, then sure.

And I wasn’t caring whether it’s surgery or not, there’d be a fair bit of money spent on this procedure regardless, I imagine. THAT is what I was objecting to.

it is quite inexpensive actually , as low as about $20 . if it was expensive there is almost absolutely no point of course. comfort in the sense that there is discomfort at times when the head is exposed to clothes and the head is suppose to be moist which it isnt without the foreskin.

Uhm, it’s HIS foreskin he would like to have back! That’s why men would do it. I imagine some of the young girls in Africa who went through female circumcision would like their labia, or more importantly: their clitoris back! But that’s a whole different ballgame. Heck it’s a different SPORT!

The thing is, I know of the procedure he’s talking about and men are lucky they can get their foreskin back by stretching their penile skin. I found out about it over 6 years ago when I was researching whether or not to circumcise my son. We didn’t by the way – but there are a large amount of men out there who do want their foreskin back. I guess you can think of it in the same manner as women who want their breasts to go back to perky after nursing four kids! (me! me!) Vanity, maybe, but there’s a lot to be said about not only liking your breasts – but being able to look at them in the mirror, or even mroe importantly, know that your spouse likes looking at them! I suspect if a man really wants his forskin, it’s the same feeling.

Good luck OP. I dont think it’ll be comfortable, but we are talking about the stretchiest skin in the known human world, so shouldn’t be bad. If I found kind men and support of the procedure six years ago, I suspect it wont be a problem for you to find other’s who have done the same.

I can’t see a sin in any of this – but who am I to say what God might think?

thanks. Anyone else’s opinion, man or women??

As it happens, I market foreskin restoration devices, so you can probably guess my stance on this one.

The reasons to restore include:
  • Look normal (over 80% of the world’s men are intact, over half of North American babies are now being left intact).
  • Enjoy romance more (with the slack skin, manual stimulation and intercourse is much more comfortable and never warrants unnatural lubrication).
  • Regain function (the foreskin protects the glans, keeping it supple and healthy. Without the foreskin it can become excessively dry and tough).
  • Enhance comfort of one’s partner (the slack skin slinks around during intimacy creating a plush lubricated feeling).
  • Take back control (most cut men had no say in what happened to their bodies in infancy).
Non-surgical restoration is a very passive activity, and very affordable. It does not need to become a distraction in your life or a drain on your family’s finances.

Regarding the question; I Maccabees 15 includes reference to early Jews who were chastised for using these very restoration techniques to hide their Jewishness during a time of terrible oppression. As the New Testament makes clear that circumcision is not a requirement for Christians, I certainly can’t imagine that making your body more like its designer intended could be morally problematic.

Cheers,
-Ron

has no one heard anything about this before?
yeah…I’ll PM ya.

Quick answer though - no, it wouldn’t be wrong. Why would it be? God created the man with a foreskin, and trying to get some of it back is only trying to restore one’s body to the way the Creator designed it.

I can’t think it would be any different than trying to get rid of a tattoo with the hopes of getting the body back the way it was meant to be.

Instead of posting on the forum, go out and help people, instead of buying a car, use public transport and give that money to the poor. Instead of…etc etc, you get my point.

Just because the ‘woman’ doesn’t mind, automatically the man should ignore it.

Great reasoning
