After death experience

After a long illness my Mother passed away. Myself, my brother and sister had gathered in the kitchen about twenty minutes after my mother had passed,we were talking and a feeling I had never experienced before came upon me. The only way I can explain it is a very intense warmth deep inside, my soul was bathed in devine love.
I turned to my sister and she said to me “did you feel that” and me and my brother said “yes”.
We all knew it was from Mom and she was in heaven with the Father. Even though we were sad at her loss, this brought a special joy and comfort to us.
The experience was the only time in my life I have felt anything like that and proved to me there is a loving God and eternal life after death.

I’ve not heard of one like that and not sure, but I believe there are signs of afterlife in different ways.

This was not a near death experience, athough it was definitley a spiritual one.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful sacramental moment with us. Tomorrow my Mom is going to have one of her kidneys removed. Today has been stressful for me. I trust the Lord completely, just missing my Mom. Your post brought great comfort to me.

Lord Jesus, hold Elizabeth’s mother close within Your Most Sacred Heart and restore her to health. Grant her your peace and a sure sense of your presence.

Fogny: How blessed for you! I’m sorry for your loss, though. May your mother rest in everlasting peace and may the Light of Heaven shine upon her.
 
I had the exact experience after my mother died after a long illness. I call it the hug she gave me on her way to heaven.She lived a very pure, holy life and suffered horribly with cancer for years.
