I’m still in transition to a new area, but would like to know what you thought about a practice by the community. One very important part of Christian life is helping those in need. Wouldn’t it be a good idea to offer a moment at the end of Mass for people with needs to announce something they are in need of for the community to hear and provide for? I think there are huge benefits to this practice. It would directly help the person in need, and it would draw each other closer in relationships, with a charity based fellowship. I know that it’s not a new concept, but the actual practice of applying it to the immediate congregation who just participated in Mass is what i’m getting at.

That is a truly kind idea and I know that many people could benefit from it’s implementation. However, many people would have trouble speaking up in front of the congregation so if you could come up with a way to make the requests more private and anonymous it would probably be an even greater idea. Wish i could help you make it happen.

Requests for such may also be placed in the weekly Church bulletin. It may be done anonymously by statements such as " a parish member/family in need of…, please contact the Rectory. My parish does this to help parishioners & families is need of such as transportation to & from Mass & any other needs.
