I wonder how many police officers watch cop shows, and are influenced by them.

When you watch films like Dirty Harry, you see him giving out his style of justice, I find shows like this disturbing.

In all fairness, Dirty Harry was 50 years ago.

I do not think police dramas will go away, though they have already moderated. The United States is not monolithic in its opinion on police. Police dramas will still appeal to many.

I see a lot of hugs, entire episodes devoted to “sensitivity training”, police giving out candy floss on the street, and loads of kittens.

They’re still airing Hooker. I question some of the tactics I see in those episodes.
