I have a theory that the nature of the fallen nature of man predetermines the ages of salvation history, such that, if God is to draw the greatest possible good from the fallen nature, it necessarily constrains the path of human history, that path being necessarily the days of creation, which image the recreation of man, that is, His redemption.
The eigtht days of creation are then the image of the constant succession of darkness followed by light.
Don’t know if any such theory has ever been conjectured?
Anybody know?
