We have been changing the second “Lamb of God” during Mass to other phrases such as " King of Kings", “Bread of Life”. I searched in the GIRM but found nothing specifically saying this is wrong. I felt that I had read it somewhere that " Lamb of God" is the only correct way. Can someone help? A reference would also be appreciated.

The GIRM are rules for what should be done in the Mass…not for what SHOULDN’T be done. If the Church wanted to make a list of everything that shouldn’t be done in the Mass, the list would be millions of pages long. “Lamb of God” is the only thing that should be said.
