Aid to the Church In Need - petition for prayers!

Hi! I am putting this up in the Social Justice section as the prayers are for justice in the Middle East especially.

ACN sent a petition saying ONE MILLION children are praying the Holy Rosary (in the morning - not that it matters what time) on Sunday 18th October:

The petition leaflet (abbr.) from ACN reads:

‘With October being the month of Our Lady of the Rosary, would your children, grandchildren, church groups or school like to join the one million children who will be praying the Holy Rosary at 9am on this 18th October this year…praying for personal and family peace, as well as unity and peace throughout the world…Aid to the Church In Need has supported this project since 2008.’

• I don’t think it matters what time during the day, so please, forum supporters, the prayers of children are so powerful…if you know people who can get together inside and even better also, outside the family, then please do organise to pray together.
• If you work in schools then maybe you could spread the news to introduce some prayer time for this special occasion on the Sunday. This is just 15 to 20 minutes of time asked for prayer.
• Similarly, if you have a say-so in what goes on in your local parish Church then maybe you could organise something there, maybe for before or after Mass, or sometime during the day.
• If you are involved in Catholic community projects, please try and get some families and/or children together, to pray on this day.

If you know of other people who might be able to get it together to organise some prayer time for that day then please do.

If you do think this is something you could organise, then please, don’t forget!

It is not too late to help in the current crisis and this is one way. It might seem small and insignificant but please remember that the Kingdom of our Lord belongs to such little ones as these.
