Akathist for the Nativity of the Theotokos

I have a custom of doing an akathist hymn to the Theotokos on her feast days (I should note that I am in the Roman rite, and exploring eastern devotions). I haven’t been able to find one in honor of her nativity, could someone link me to one that I could easily print off? And any other akathists to the Theotokos. I have about three or four currently.
 
There is an Akathist for the Nativity of the Theotokos - but it is in Slavonic and I’ve not seen an English translation yet. I would do it myself, but I don’t have the time just yet.

This is the largest akathist website with very many akathists and new ones coming on all the time: www.akafist.narod.ru They list more than one akathist to the Nativity of the Mother of God.

Off topic but re this glorious Feast… I noticed that in the Office of Readings today in the Latin Church was the discourse by Saint Andrew of Crete which was also read in Divine Liturgy this morning in the Russian Orthodox parish where I was. 🙂

Oh, that’s neat. I saved that particular reading when I did it yesterday, I really admired it.
 
You might also consider some of the beautiful Canons also written for various feasts or for intercession of the Mother of God. These, like Akathists, can be prayed by one alone in private.

When one prays several Canons and Akathists, just to review, one prays the Canons together, with the First Odes together etc. and then reads the Akathists in the same way after the sixth Ode?

You’ve got it, as usual!!! For two Canons and two Akafists, this is the rule given to me by one of our holy Studite monks: after Nachalo and Psalm(s), Ode 1 Canon 1, Ode 1 Canon 2, etc. to the completion of the Sixth Ode, and then Kontakion and all of Akathist 1, (with concluding prayer if the Akathist has one), and then Kontakion and all of Akathist 2, with concluding prayer, and then start back with Ode 7 Canon 1 followed by Ode 7 Canon 2, etc. to the end of the Canons, “It is truly right”, Trisagion, final troparia/kontakia (or just the usual penitential ones “Have mercy on us, O Lord”), Lord have mercy X40, prayers of each Canon, and then dismissal.

This is essentially also the same order given in the Old Rite Prayer Book when one wants to pray a Moleben in private (“Cell Rule”).
 
I found some old Moleben booklets recently in one of our parishes called (translated from Ukrainian) “Moleben to the Mother of God Hodogitria”. Have you by chance seen that one, Pane Doktor?
