Quote: “…Alignment isn’t something you say, it’s something you do. Alignment is demonstrated when you make tough calls, when you see if the thing that matters the most to you is also the thing that matters the most to the other person…” Seth Godin from Seth’s Blog 4/25/2011
The above is in reference to Marketing as Seth advises and teaches many through his blog the nuances and bulldozers of Marketing. However, today his comments relate perfectly to the end of Lent and of Mercy Week culminating this Sunday, in Mercy Sunday.
When we all stand before GOD, isn’t our “earthly alignment” just a temperal way of describing our faith? Won’t whatever we “did” on earth be what we are “judged” for as to all eternity?
Are we as Catholics/Christians aligned so that what matters most to JESUS is what matters most to us?
Review your behavior this week and on Sunday ask yourself, just from this one past week, if you were to die on Mercy Sunday would JESUS recognize that your behavior is aligned with HIS desires?
