All seems hopeless

I have spent the last several days just observing and surfing over the net and I have come away with a sense of hopelessness.
It feels like dark days have come over faith in Jesus as Son of God and God Incarnate - this belief is attacked at every side, all religions deserve respect except faith in Christ
I can’t help but feel a very bloody period of persecution is coming - and it seems like we can’t stop it.

Does anyone else feel this is happening?
 
Uglygal, not to sound rude, but didn’t you completely reject Jesus as Son of God and God just a few weeks ago?
 
All is not hopeless. There has been horrible bloody persecution throughout history. You must look up because someday we will see Him coming. He will come back again and establish the Heavenly Kingdom where there will be no more bloodshed or wailing. He will come that is our Hope. Our Father Who art in Heaven Thy Kingdom come! Pay this prayer every time you seem to think all is hopeless.

All we have to do is cling to Him with our whole mind, heart and soul, and He will take care of us. He will also allow us to be a beacon of light for others. I have many others that I am praying for and am aware that anxiety and gloom will not help them. We have to keep our eyes on Jesus so that we don’t sink! We just need to focus on Him, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour!

no but that is probably because my faith is in God and his Word, not in the internet and the word of whozis
 
Yes, the situation is hopeless, but not serious.
Learn to laugh a little. There is certainly enough humor around in the world. The famous comedian, Will Rogers, stopped writing material, “All I have to do is report what the politicians in Washington are doing.”

I too think that dark days are ahead, especially in the US. Not because of what I see on the internet necessarily but what I see with my own eyes and her with my own ears.
Yes, Christianity is being attacked from without and from within. Which makes me all the more certain of my position. The truth of “Love thy Neighbor” will be ever attacked by the powers of “ill will” - of Evil. But remember our Lord’s promise that the gates of hell will not prevail. Look to the saints. To those who stood fast in times of trouble.

If there is to be a chastisement, it will occur in God’s own good time. The thing for us to do is cleave more closely to our faith in Christ. Pray for our loved ones, ourselves and for the world. It may be the only thing between the world and the Lord’s wrath. Remember U-Gal, in your own words:
Heavenly Father who wills only what is good for me…I am saved by your Word, Your holy will…All I ask, Heavenly Father, is to love You perfectly
to love You unconditionally
to persevere until passing, and
to behold You in eternity.
Amen

Hold onto this. It will keep you grounded and at peace.

First, I said not to sound rude, then I asked her about her beliefs. Unfortunately I do not have time to trawl through every post here, nor do I get updated when people change, however I’m glad she has.

Persecution: probably, hopelessness: never.
