All the Pope’s Men is a book by long-time Vatican reporter John Allen. The Vatican Diaries is by John Thavis, the Rome bureau chief of the Catholic News Service. Both books have gotten good reviews. I wonder if anyone has read them both and can compare them?
 
Hi, I’m reading The Vatican DIaries now. I’m a little dismayed learning about all the corruption there has been in the Vatican, and in spite of the bureaucratic confusion it’s awesome knowing the Catholic Church endures through the ages to lead us.
