Hi Everyone! I am new to CAF as a member but have been reading many threads over the past 8 months in my journey home. They have been so helpful and I’m thankful there are so many that are willing to share the faith to help the rest of us. Tomorrow night at Easter Vigil I will be confirmed and receive my first Holy Communion. I’m not completely new to the Catholic Church as I have been attending (off/ on) for almost 20 yrs since I started dating my (now) wife at the age of 17 and more consistently as a member of our parish since 2005. My wife has been an amazing example for me all these years. I was baptized in a Protestant Church and went for a few years as a teen ager.

The journey my life has taken since entering the RCIA program at my parish has been remarkable. I feel I have been blessed with true teaching of the Catholic Faith in our RCIA thanks to our Pastor, Deacon and Cathechists. As a parishioner up until starting RCIA, I was going thru the motions so to speak. Felt I could never become Catholic and so I would just go here and there. Once I began RCIA, my eyes were opened! Back in November I began to pray the Rosary daily and haven’t missed a Sunday Mass since last summer. What a difference it has made for me AND my family! I think God for my many blessings, most especially having those in my life to help me in my journey and that includes many of you in CAF with your sharing! God Bless you all! 33 hrs and counting… 🙂

YAY! Me too! I am SO excited for tomorrow! I am also going to be baptized, because I have no baptismal certificate, and we are not sure it was trinitarian. I have also been super blessed to have wonderful examples of faithful Catholics all around me. I am so excited to receive the Eucharist! Adoration has been a huge help for me as well.

I have been waiting for three years to join the Church, and I finally realized last week that God answered my prayers. I began to be convicted of the Catholic faith, and I told God, “Make a way for me. Just give me a way to do what you want me to do, and I will do it.” I can’t drive, and one day I mustered up the courage to ask my agnostic friend to take me to Mass. She said yes, and the rest is history.

God is so awesome. Sometimes the answers to our prayers are so normal that we don’t realize until months later that the answer is your friend saying, “Okay. Where are we going?”

Me too!! I will be baptized, confirmed and first holy Communion too!!! I am sooooo excited!!

Welcome to our new Poster on CAF and also Welcome home to all the Converts to be
