Between Charles V, Leo X, Martin Luther, Ulrich Zwingli, John Calvin, Tom Cranmer, Henry VIII and Thomas More…

Who would win a game of no-limit, Texas Hold’em poker?

Some points to consider:
  1. To be fair, strict rebuy limits should be required, or else Charles, Henry and Leo would extend the game until they pushed the poorer players out.
  2. Calvin probably has the best poker face. He and More would have the easiest time calculating pot odds.
  3. Would Cranmer even play?
  4. Luther and Zwingli would tie for “most likely to go all-in.”
  5. Luther would have a bad habit of slow-rolling his hole cards by lifting up the tablecloth to reveal them.
  6. Henry would probably be the most experienced player but lose first out of boredom.

Luther would be too distracted by his food to pay attention. I’ll go with Calvin to win it all, he was always the rational one. 😃

I hear that many a good hand of poker is played over beer and cigars at Ft. Wayne. 😃
