My grandmother always referred to it as ‘being intimate’. She also used that term for any time of emotional closeness between herself and my grandfather, or any time a couple was romantic.
I use the term myself when people are harassing me about whether or not FH and I have ‘had sex’ or ‘done it’.

If DH ever said anything to me about “rendering the marital debt” it would be a really long time before I was feeling frisky again!! What an awful,awful phrase.

We like “renewing our vows”
And “baby dancing” for when we actually want to conceive. Since we never had to “try” per se, we didn’t get to use that very often
