Alveda King, niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was on Bill O’Reilly tonight talking about her feelings about abortion. She had an abortion when she was a young woman. She met Fr. Pavone, and others through Silent No More, and she is now an activist against abortion. She compared abortion to slavery. She was well spoken and her segment preceded the Hannity and Colmes one where Norma Mccorvey talked about her press conference tomorrow where she will ask for the overturn of Roe vs. Wade.

God bless those dear women who are Silent No More.
I agree. It was horrible what they did, but the courage it takes to admit publicly their sin is just amazing. They are responsible for saving so many other babies, I just know it. How could one not be moved when listening to their testimonies. I think , no I wonder if she will work in unison with the Roe V. Wade group that is speaking today in front of the Supreme Court?

As other African American women have pointed out, abortion has effectively become genocide within that community. And don’t think this is exactly what Margaret Sanger had in mind. Having women like Alveda King speak out about the personal impact abortion has on them as well as extending it to the greater community will be very effective.

This is exactly what Sanger had in mind.

So, it is a racist thing then, feminism?
Do not confuse the precepts Margaret Sanger stood for with feminism.

The feminists/suffragettes would have spat on Margaret. Elizabeth Caddy Stanton, Susan B. Anthony, et. al., were pro-life 100%.

Margaret’s agenda was “free love” and birth control/abortion as a means to be able to sleep with whomever she pleased without having to have children. She pawned her own children off on others, and had an “open marriage” and slept around with god knows how many people.

I agree with your modern day version of feminism. So it this version racist, since it advocates the killing of so many unborn minorities through abortion?

Apologies, it was a typo. I meant to say, don’t think this ISNT exactly what Sanger had in mind. I guess it’s more clear in the positive rather than the double negative.

Sanger CLEARLY was a bigot and did not want to see the ‘lower orders’ including people of color, reproducing. That she represents ‘feminism’ is outrageous when so many other prominent women such as Susan B Anthony were absolutely prolife.

Again, apologies for the mixup.

(Say is it just ME and my three computers or is the website SLOWER THAN MOLASSES IN JANUARY??? I can’t get it to load, I can’t post, I can’t scroll. It is just at near standstill. Too many users?)

This goes for the whole contraception movement in general! It was always about those other people having “too many” babies.
When the WASPs threw their fertility away they went to work on everyone else, especially blacks, Catholics, third-world. All in the name of “freedom” from the cares of child-rearing. My generation was sold a bill of goods.

You are right. I think we are from the same generation. I am not proud of what passed for legislation during my day. We were sold a bill of goods. Let’s try to reverse it!

Yes, slower than mollasses and half the things I post get lost. Why do I persist?
