 Often people have referred to me as a saint and a hero because I donated half of my liver to my father. I was just wondering what the Church thinks of that and what it means. I don’t consider myself a saint or a hero; just a daughter who loved her dad so much she couldn’t let go.

In the case of the term saint, it’s possible that people are using hyperbolic language (i.e., exaggeration) to express their deep admiration for what you did. All you need say in response is a cheerful “Not yet.” As for the term hero, there is no need to disclaim it since putting one’s life in danger to save another is indeed a heroic action. You need merely smile and perhaps add “I take after my dad.”
