Am I allowed to kneel for Communion?

I recently started going to daily mass at a nearby church during lunch. Being a smaller mass, I feel comfortable kneeling for communion. When I asked my husband how he would feel if I knelt at our church, he discouraged me saying that the bishops want people to bow instead and I am just bringing attention to myself. (I already am the only person normally wearing a veil, so I think I already do that!) Now I am conflicted. Is it wrong of me to kneel to accept the Body of Christ?
