Am i doing wrong?

i have asked god for the grace for me to see hear and speak to my holy guardian angel, i have also asked god to grant this to ppl i know, am i doing wrong asking for this? after all it will only happen if god wills it
 
No, it is not wrong to cultivate veneration for your angel. However, it is certainly wrong to desire private revelations and apparitions. But talking to your angel and asking for his intercession isn’t private revelation; rather, it is a conversation between two friends. It is only when you desire your angel to do things out of the ordinary - appear to you, tell you secrets, do manual labor for you so you don’t have to do it (this is different from not being able to do manual labor yet having the obligation to do it) - that you get into the desire for private revelations and apparitions.
 
im not wanting my angel to do miracles or manual labour or tell me secrets:)
 
The problem is that seeing the spirits and hearing their voices audibly can lead us very, very easily to become proud. God only gives such graces to very, very humble souls, because otherwise it would destroy us. Pride leads to us elevating ourselves and is always very destructive

So what you should do is venerate your angel through prayer, while simultaneously praying for humility, not apparitions. As you pray more for humility, you’ll also probably find yourself more content with what God has given you and more thankful for His will, which is what you rest in now.

I used to pray for apparitions too, but it wasn’t a good idea. I was praying as I was in order to have really cool experiences, but it was all deeply self-glorifying, not glorifying God. If God had answered my prayer, I would have immediately become a thousand times more proud. I was making some very bad mistakes at that time, but I had a heart of sincerely desiring God, so He protected me and eventually led me out of my errors. Anyway, don’t seek that, but pray for increased gratitude for what God has given you and for greater humility (something all Christians, even if they’re saints, should always be praying for), and simultaneously venerate, thank, pray to and praise your angel and God through him through prayer.

it’s best not to ask for visions or spiritual experiences… 🙂 cause we can very easily be deceived… if you do see or hear something, make sure you make the sign of the Cross and say the Our Father. Or say “blessed be Jesus and Mary”.

I think often God doesn’t answer such prayers just because He knows that visions etc can be an occasion of sin for us; we can be tempted to pride…

it’s often best to just go by faith, and remember you can ALWAYS talk to your guardian Angel, even if he doesn’t talk back, he is there 🙂 don’t seek any experiences, but pray to your Angel and ask him for help when you need it. God bless

You would do better to ask God for the grace to follow the guidance of your guardian angel.
