Am I in mortal sin for going shopping/being with someone shopping on Sunday?

Last Sunday my family wanted to go shopping and I was hesitant because it was a Sunday but I decided to go with them, we just ended up going through the car wash and then my relatives went to go buy some pans but I did not go with them. I want to go to mass shortly where I think it would be hard to get to confession beforehand, should I partake in communion?

So, what is the perceived sin:

was the act grave matter
was the event conducted with full knowledge that it was (if it was) grave matter
was the event conducted with willful consent that it was grave matter and a sinful act

I’m sure you and I have much bigger transgressions to worry about…when it doubt, take it to the confessional.

You are fine. But I am guessing that such worries might be frequent for you… you should assume that if you have to ask if X is a sin, it almost definitely isn’t, or at least is not grave… Relax.
