Am I the Only person to behave in such a silly manner??? This is what I did today! My daughter had a birthday party in town, 15 miles away, at a duck pin bowling alley. I pick up two of her little buddies bring my son along and I get to the place to buy the cake. I realize, I left my purse at home!!! I beginning to wonder if I am loosing my mind. Do any other parent’s have this experience???

No Lily, you are the only parent that has ever done this. You are probably experiencing the signs and symptoms of a grave medical disorder which is affecting your memory. 😉 This is totally abnormal and alarming and cause for serious concern. I recommend you get your affairs in order right away because, frankly my dear, the case is probably terminal. :crying:

P.S. it’s not a bad idea to keep a spare credit car hidden in your car for these occasions.

I love your sarcasm, White Dove!!! 👍 BUT the silver lining is, I met someone at the bowling alley who I knew and she watched the children and I drove home.
To top it off I gave the baby(my seven year old) a double dose of Delsyn, called poison control, fortunately, I did no harm.
I am LOOSING it!!! No meds though. I think I will drink a green tea and :crying:

my daughter, distracted mother of 4, called in tears the other day saying “I have two math degrees and I can’t even balance my checkbook, what has happened to my brain?” It is well known that pregnancy and childbirth release hormones that destroy braincells, and scramble the ones you have left. How about the time the UPS man rang the doorbell and I hollered, “Mommy’s coming”

STRESS, my dear! You need to take some “quiet time” with the Lord…10mins. will do it. When my boys were your kids age I used think I was going mad (maybe that’s what’s wrong with me) Anyway, that was 30 years or so ago and I did all of the above and more!!!:bigyikes: This world is far to busy today… No you aren’t the only one so take heart!😉

Oh Lily…I’d have to agree with White Dove and Annuciata… 😃

I’ve done so many things like that…

You know what I did tonight(?) I decided not to go upstairs for my glasses and went to Mass without them …sure was hard driving home in the dark … Don’t think I want to do that again. :o
Seriously…you’re okay…just take some time … 🙂

My excuse is age. But managing four kids on a fifteen mile trip will do much the same to one. 👍

hi Lil,

I do it all the time…I have diagnosed myself as having SOMETIMERS! And me being only 53!:crying: 😉

Love,

I love this one! “Mommy’s coming” keeps echoing in my head and will probably keep me smiling all afternoon. My dog wants in right now. I can hear him whinning as I type. You guessed it… “Mommy’s coming.”

Its times llike these, when I do absolutely inane things, that I praise God for His ability to use even me to fulfill His purposes.

What a mighty God we have!
