This is for all you americans to prepare your people because of 2 very false teachings of “pseudo catholics”, we in Mexico have been invaded by this crazy things called “LA SANTA MUERTE” (SAINT DEATH) and JESUS MALVERDE (PATRON SAINT OF DRUG DEALERS), THEY SAY THERE CATHOLICS BUT AS YOU ALL CATHOLICS KNOW THOSE 2 CAN NEVER BEEN SAINTS BECAUSE 1 IS ENEMY OF GOD (DEATH) AND THE OTHER WAS A MEXICAN DRUG DEALER.

please spread the word, this 2 are already in the border with Mexico, dont let them enter the U.S. spread the word, sorry if i seen to angry…BECAUSE I AM, this strange cult is spreading faster than light, please spread the word, prepare yourself and lets kick LA SANTA MUERTE AND JESUS MALVERDE in …(insert the body part you like here)

Horrible that people can actually fall into the trap of believing this garbage.
 
What is being done in Mexico amongst the faithful to prevent the spread of this fallacy?
 
My sister in law who goes to Calvary Chapel was telling us that this was another bad thing that the Catholic Church was teaching. She is pretty anti-catholic and believes everything anyone says bad about the Church. So she was pretty smug when she was trying to get an answer out of my wife about this, and described how the news said the Catholic Church was teaching this.

We looked it up and let her know it wasn’t the Catholic Church but the “Traditional Catholic Church Mexico USA” which now has I believe 15 of its own priests and it’s own Church down it Mexico City. She just selectively heard the name and thought it was the Catholic Church.

We pointed this out to her and she then just didn’t want to talk anymore about the Church, (only when she thinks she can find something wrong.)

This is a terrible, terrible, cult that has developed and unfortunately due to bad catechisis many people in Mexico are susceptible to this new sect.

The patron saint of drug dealers?..And people actually believe in these two saints? What is the world coming to?

And use a lot of skeletal imagery

It this some sort of corruption of the Angle of Death or is it just a pseudonym for a murderer?

The danger here is the fuel this gives anti-catholics. It sounds similar to Santaria.
Anti-catholics wills see something that APPEARS to be catholic…and the folks involved called themselves catholic - so it must be another crazy evil paganistic catholic ritual right?

Many won’t take the time to see how ridiculous it all is.
 
Perverse evil! It reminds me of the La Cosa Nostra tradition of using icons of saints in their initiation ceremonies for the Mafia… very evil indeed.
 
Funny how people come up with these things. Death is not a siant, but a natural event. Nothing evil about it. The end of the great exile, as many catholic saints write.
 
I don’t believe it is death that people are finding evil. Rather, it is the worship, or at the very least, cultic obsession with it in a warped, pseudo-Catholic nature that is evil.

While all believers, and especially saints, ought to welcome death for it is the doorway to our future and entry into our true home, no believer, or saint, ought to worship it in the manner in which this is being presented.

Even by the very terms described I doubt any serious Catholic will fall for something like that. Patron saint for drug dealers, hehe! You’re right, they can never be saints.
