Anyone have any experience with their daughters? Our church has a troop, and it sounds all well and good, but I’m interested in hearing some first-hand experiences. My daughter is 5, just began kindergarten in a public school, so I’m thinking this might be a good thing for her to be involved in at some point. Thanks!

Our daughter goes to a troop at the parish near ours and it has been amazing.

SOOOOOO MUCH better than what Girl Scouts has become.

Individual troops vary, but we LOVE ours.

In general I’ve heard good things (no daughters personally but I have friends with daughters.) One group (out of many) was teaching anti-Catholic stuff but it seemed to be an obsession of one of the leaders. I don’t think it’d be common, though.

Our parish has the American Heritage Girls group. Although my children have grown up and I don’t have personal experience with them, my observation confirms they are very authentic. They are commendable to my knowledge.
