This one is interesting,

The youtube video description reads:
جندي امريكي في قاعدة ببغداد بعد أن أصبح مسلما شيعيا ولله الحمد يقوم بذكر الشهادتين ثم تعداد أسماء الأئمة الاثنا عشر عليهم السلام بدون أي خطأ وعندما يصل لاسم الامام محمد المهدي عليه السلام يضع يده على رأسه احتراما لذكر اسمه الشريف فيما يتعجب منه بقية الجنود العراقيين ويحيونه ويقول بعضهم انهم لم يحفظوا اسماء الائمة مثل هذا الامريكي المسلم حديثا (less)

my translation:
An American soldier in a contingent in Baghdad after accepting Islam and embracing the Shia branch starts to recite the Islamic declaration of faith and then begins to name the 12 divinely appointed Imams of the prophet’s family and when he reaches the name of imam Mahdi he places his hand on his head and bows in reverence and respect for mentioning his holy name upon which the iraqi soldiers are surprised and some of them say even they didn’t memorize the names of all the imams as this new American muslim.

He is just scared from the threat. Let see the situation when he returns to the states, into the safety of the motherland, into the safety of his friends, units, and family. Into the safety, perhaps the military power that the US has. Don’t make any conclusion too fast.

If he is an “American” as you claim, he sure doesn’t sound like one, he speaks with a very funny accent! :rolleyes:
 
So, what’s the score? No big deal. People are converting by the dozens each day, in both directions. Doesn’t prove anything. I’m not surprise if it is true. And there are Muslims who convert for the truth of Christianity, too.

I say the whole thing is nothing but a hoax! The video is extremely poor and all you see is someone wearing a US helmet, whose face is completely in shadow!, and as I mentioned before, speaks with a very non-american accent! Typical Muslim nonsense!:twocents:

What a load of crock! They look like members of the Iraq army to begin with.
And as for the accent as Booklover suggested, gee, i even sound more American than him, and i have a HEAVY Aussie slang accent!
His as American as Bin Laden!
 
This is the same gimmick that Muslims said about US soldiers on Saudi soil during and post Gulf War I. Here’s a fact. Muslims try hard to convert Westerners especially white. If they get one to hook, they’ll use it as propaganda. Oh look, we have a Christian American or whatever finding his or her way to the religion of truth. You know, the Saudis even throw money to Westerners up to $60,000 for conversion. No one has taken it yet. I’ve seen African-Americans taking the bait unfortunately.

There’s a unnamed US military installation deep inside Saudi Arabia. It has a mosque. Trust me, the only folks I saw walking into that mosque were Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, etc employees of the installation. I had not seen a single American civilian or soldier entering that mosque.

Anyway, I miss that base- a piece of Americana in the middle of Muslim heartland. Infidel women jogging in tank top and short while Saudi troops patrolling the outer perimeter looks like a scene straight out of Hollywood.

Wonder where is the OP who starts this thread? I don’t think it’s nice to start something and then disappear. There are responses here. Even if they are not to his taste, he doesn’t have to play dumb. He can always say he disagrees. Hmm.
