FACT:
  1. Some Protestants, if not all, sees a connection between Catholics and Orthodox Churches. They say that the Orthodox Church came from the Catholic Church as evidence with their Schism from Mother Catholic Church.
  2. Orthodox Church/es sees that Protestants came from the Catholic Church starting from Luther separating himself and his followers in his famous “Reformation.”
  3. But neither of the two claims to have a connection with each other.

Regarding 3 - which two? Protestant and Orthodox do not claim a connection? I guess I’m confused because there is no “one” Protestant church. And no unifying, overarching authority in Orthodoxy either.

Even if I speak about all of Protestants denominations, they surely don’t have a historical connection with the Orthodox Church and Vice Versa. But in both Protestants and Orthodox, the Catholic Church has historical connections. This only proves that the Catholic Church is historic and present in both era of sad divisions in Christianity.
