Hi everyone,…
just got married 3 months back to my hubby whom i have known for 4 years. the problem for me started when ir realized that what he believes in, is not what i like and it’s so cult’ish…i feel lost now…
all i do now is hope and pray every week at mass that God would bring him to His place, where the truth prevails…

I would just like to know if anyone has any experience at all, of their spouse ‘changing’ or converting after parayers?thank you…:o

Well in a way Catholicism is quite cultish also. As long as what your husband is doing doesn’t hurt or effect anyone negatively I wouldn’t worry about it.

Which religion does he pertain to anyway?

PT05, did your husband present himself as a practicing Catholic before you wrere married? Had you discussed beliefs prior to marriage? What are these beliefs that are “cultish”?

I am astounded that you could date someone for 4 years, including the period of engagement and preparation for marriage, and never concern yourself with one of the most essential parts of his personality and identity, namely his religious beliefs. If you were my daughter, my next question is what else about him did you neglect to investigate? I hope you had a good marriage prep, and have learned some communication skills, because you two have to talk, and before you start raising kids together.
