Recently I was looking online about a possible massage course helping elderly people.A search came up with a very professional site ,therapists working right in there with elderly and palatitive care patients, the director
very much into Reiki as were the other instructors 😦 It alarmed me that elderly and vulnerable people literally are in the hands of such a creepy practice.I remember taking a short massage course years ago and the non denominational instructor cautioned us all about Reiki as she had seen someone practicing it and she felt that it was pure evil, something very wrong happening.

Many pagans and New Age enthusiasts are into Reiki. While it sounds attractive, like yoga, it is something that needs to be walked away from.

Working for a parish, I receive tons of literature from various non-profits asking to be publicized. Will never forget a handbook/support group that was aimed at the elderly spouses when one had Alzheimers. They had been promoted by all of the churches in the area, were well known. They came with a cover letter from the Diocese, were listed as a resource at “HQ”.

Well, I was new to the job and I checked out everything. First click on their website had a link to “sexuality and caregivers”. It encouraged immoral sexual activities, explicitly.

I called the Diocese, they thanked me for the research, pulled the support for this group.

It is very easy for people to work agenda under the cover of compassion.
