Thought you would be interested to know that Jim Caviezel went on missions with the priests I work with. The priest who was in charge of the mission told me what a remarkable job he did in Mexico with the 20 some young men who were there.
He said he spoke to the young men at night about Christ and was a remarkable influence on them all.
I was very impressed of #1 Jim C. chosing to go on the mission and #2 about his working with the young men to help them become stronger Catholics.

so he is not only a RC actor, but a faithful Catholic too. Faithful… Actor… ow my head hurts now.
j/k

Jim Caveezel seems like an awesome person, and the more i learn about him the cool-er he becomes.

I’ve seen all of the EWTN interviews with him & he impresses me as both devout & sincere. His wife was on another EWTN show & she impressed me the same way. The only one of his films that I’ve seen was “The Passion”, and judging from his acting skills there he should do well in all sorts of roles. I hope that he & Mel Gibson are successful in the future because they stood up for their beliefs amidst the hypocrisy of Hollywood.

I too have been impressed with Jim Caviezel’s demonstrations of his faith. From interviews I’ve read, he seems like a nice, sincere, passionate man.

But why oh why did he have to make the movie “Angel Eyes?” I can’t watch “The Passion” without thinking of that.

He also did “The Count of Monte Cristo”

When I heard Mel Gibson has signed him to play Jesus Christ,
I knew he had made a good choice, because I had heard he as a very devout Catholic. I saw him on TBN the other day, and he was talking to a congregation about the effect Christ had on his life before and after the film. It was an incredible testimony.
It brought tears to my eyes.

Haven’t seen the passion yet…will soon though (my roomate and I have a little arguement going on right now…he thinks the movie will “suck” because it’s in aramaic, I say it will be better because of it…I wonder who will win;) ). I haven’t seen angel eyes (nor do I want to), but I have seen Count of Monte cristo and he was absolutly amazing in that movie!! Can’t wait to see the passion!!

Wasn’t he in Frequency also? Anyway, the rumor going around now is that they want Jim C. to play Superman.

Yes, he was. I REALLY liked that movie. It was cool to watch the ham radio being put back together in the future! 🙂

I have heard the same rumor as Jim as Superman.
WHile I am sure the first film would be well just …Super
he could derail the rest of his career.
Christopehr Reeves career suffered becuase of the franchise remmeber your signing on to do sequels which usually stink and deter you from branching out and doing other things.
Jim’s secular career has had some hits and some misses but at least they have been diverse and interesting. Being Superman for 4 movies won’t do either.

“Frequency” is a great movie and I highly recommend it. The movie about Bobby Jones faded fast but I still want to see it when it comes out on DVD.

I guess that this story about Jim did not make Entertainment Tonight?

I am dying to know if Jim and his wife are expecting yet. She works on the pro-life movement. 👍
