Hi Everyone!
I wanted to share a happy announcement with you all. Back in November of 2017, I created a thread here titled “Spouse Standards” in which I wrote down my list of standards I had for my future spouse in the pre-dating phase and asked for your feedback so I could revise and improve it.

I got so many replies, and your responses gave me a lot to think about! After pondering my list, I joined a dating site, and one year later I am the proud girlfriend of the man of my dreams. Now I know miracles happen, because he checks off all the boxes, except the point that we remains friends for an extended period before dating. We waited three months. Meeting on a dating site, we knew we were seeing each other in the same light, and decided to make it official. Looking back, creating the list was such a helpful part of the process for me. It allowed me to better understand myself, my values, and know what topics to discuss during the search. I want to thank everyone who participated in the list critiquing process, who helped on that path of self-discovery. My boyfriend and I couldn’t be happier!
