For those who don’t know, I’m a protestant looking into converting to Catholicism. I recently started attending Mass at my local Catholic Church. After this morning’s service, I picked up a leaflet about a course called “Anchor Your Faith” which is being run soon at another local church. I’ve looked at the website given on the leaflet and it looks quite informative, but I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this course? Maybe someone here has taken it or knows someone who has? Would you recommend it? And do you think that I’d get much out of it as someone whose only just starting to explore the Catholic faith and has only a limited understanding possibly of certain doctrines and traditions?

If you’re talking about the Anchor program I think you’re talking about, I would highly recommend going. It’s a great six-session primer on the Catholic faith. It’s very well-suited for someone in your situation who is just starting to explore the Catholic faith. It will give you a nice quick overview of all the main points.

God bless you on your spiritual journey.

If you go to these would you post and let us know what you think?

@ Joe 5859

Thank you. It looks like the same program and that link has given me a little more info. I think I will go and make the most of the opportunity to find out some more.

@ mountee

I’ll certainly post what I think of the course.
