I keep seeing EL. ON and others referring to masses. Could someone tell me what they mean and what they stand for please? And what the difference is?
 
I think you mean EF(Extraordinary Form–i.e, Latin Mass according to the missal of 1962) and OF(Ordinary Form, or the so called Novus Ordo or “New” Mass of Paul VI, as amended).

Is that what you wanted to know?
