Father, we thank you for your healing grace in both Aunt Pat’s pacemaker implant, and Mario’s amazing recovery so far. All glory and honour are yours! We ask that you continue to watch over them, especially now as Mario goes for dialysis. Be with him Lord, and bring comfort to him and his family through this trial.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women,
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners,
Now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Update: Mario continues to improve. He started physical therapy. His kidneys are functioning well, although the doctor wants to keep up dialysis for the time being until he is absolutely sure he’s “done”.

Aunt Pat: She had a heart attack late Thursday night, early Friday morning, was rushed by ambulance to the hospital. She was placed first in ER, then a regular room, is now in ICU. She is on oxygen but not vented, the “big 4” of meds for low BP, digi, possible CRRT to remove the fluid. She wants them to make one big effort should she “code” but she is ready if she has to die.

The problem is her sister, my mother, who is overbearing and has to make it all about her. An uncle called and told her, thinking he was doing my cousins a favor. She was a bit harsh with my cousins, who really don’t want her and her antics around them at a time like this. While we need prayers for Pat’s happy death or good recovery, we also need prayers for her sister to stay out of the way.

Praying for this entire situation.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Prayers for Mario and Aunt Pat, as well as for the consideration of all of their family members :gopray:

Update- Mario doing well, dialysis down to 2 times a week. They are only draining off .9 liters, not even a full liter. He has to stay on the renal diet, but can take little excursions into a very small piece of dark chocolate, or a couple grape tomatoes, without upsetting the kidneys. 😉 He has an exercise plan, and has regular physicaltherapy.

Aunt Pat has started dialysis, had 6 liters taken off in the last couple days via CRRT. She is still intubated, will possibly be unintubated in the next couple days- maybe eventoday. Her BP is low and holding. Once she is unintubated, her breathing will depend on her.

Her older sister came into town from another town in the 'burbs, stayed maybe 15 minutes, and left. Her younger brother is the one who called her. He thinks he is helping.

Continuing to pray for both of them
and all the members of your family.
May God grant your family peace
and health.

Praying for healing for your aunt and comfort for all of your family.

Continuing Prayer for your intentions…

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Update: Mario continues to improve. He can walk two blocks now without getting tired.

I have not heard about Aunt Pat, though not of lack of trying. My cousins are not answering their cell phones, either voice or text. The hospital can’t give me information. I have no idea what I have done to them. If I knew, I would beg their forgiveness. So, Aunt is truly in God’s hands at this point…
