Figured I’d start documenting my experience for others information.

Last week I went to Oklahoma to visit some extended family.

Yesterday one of the relatives texted me and said someone they work with had tested positive, which led to them getting tested, and they also tested positive. None of these people have shown any symptoms.

Today I went and got a rapid test, I am showing no symptoms. Test was positive. Since rapid tests have a bad rate of false positives I’ve also gotten a longer test done. Waiting on results, probably have them next week.

I pray that you don’t have it, and if you do, that you don’t experience any symptoms. I’m about to pray my rosary, so I’ll include you and your family in it.

Adding my prayers that you do not have COVID.

Between the faulty tests and the fact that people without symptoms aren’t going to go get a test, who knows how many of us have had it without knowing at this point.

Yikes! I’m sorry.
It’s hard waiting for test results back.

I’m honestly not all that concerned, I am staying away from my business until the test results come back so that I’m not inadvertently putting any of my employees at risk, and if I get another positive I’ll quarantine for the two weeks and then be back at work I’m sure.

The only person I know who got it and had any problems was a man in his 60s and he was knocked flat for a few days and made then was back to normal. I’ve faced far bigger things than a little China virus.

Anecdotally speaking, all I know who have had it have kicked it quite easily and quickly. I have heard taking vitamin D, vitamin C, and zinc are good to do. Wishing you the best!

Sorry to hear of your positive test. Prayers for a quick recovery!

I am isolating at home today…a co-worker tested positive yesterday so I was sent home. Tested this morning and awaiting the results.

I agree. In any event, the death rate is only 2-3%, a far cry from the Middle Ages Black Death which had a 50% death rate.

I’ll be keeping you in my prayers too RSon. You can’t get sick, I really enjoy reading your posts ! :pray:t4:

Glad your results were negative, how long was turn around on test to results.

19 hours from test to results. It was through the program administered by the State. They have really beefed up resources to get tests back quicker - earlier this summer, it was taking 5-7 days (and it helps I’m in the same city as their main lab).

Dear God, You chose Mary to be the mother and help of all Christians. Through her intercession, grant us health in mind and body, freedom from sorrow, hope in despair, and peace in our lives. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
My son went through waiting on a 2nd COVID test results earlier in October. It is difficult wondering if it will be positive or not for all involved. Until his results came back negative he distanced himself from his family by using their garage as his base camp. Set up a table to use for telecommuting his work, eating and even slept out there on an Army cot. I hope your own outcome is as favorable.

Well my wife’s results have come back, she definitely has Kung flu. I haven’t gotten my results but if she tested positive it’s a pretty good guess I will too.

She had mild cold symptoms last week but is now feeling fine. I’m still not showing any signs or feeling sick at all.

I’m glad to hear that your wife recovered easily, and pray that you remain in good health.
