Angelology and Demonology

After reading Chesterton’s parody of demonology in The Coloured Lands I’ve become a bit curious about angelology and demonology… reading up on the subjects from various sources it sounds a bit weird; i.e.giving names of various demons and their particular sins. Are these accurate Church teaching, or just made up junk? And out of curiosity, does anyone have some good Catholic sources on it? It’s rather troublesome to search for it because I keep running up on all sorts of Occultic junk.
