I’ve been taught that angels can take on a physical form and some times it can be a human form but can angels ever become human? Also, what are the Church’s teachings of nephylum?

As far as your first question–no, angels are created to be purely spiritual and wouldn’t be able to function in a true body (as opposed to appearing to have a body) even if they had one.
