This is the point I have been trying to make… I have bent over backwards trying to understand the other side of the argument… Before I heard this I have never thought of the Angels (especially my guardian as not being alive) not being alive with us!

The whole point of my op was to try to figure out how angels are not alive but have not heard a good argument otherwise… I am going to carry on with my beliefs that they are truly alive (and as another poster put it, more alive than us!)
I would just let it go at this: When speaking of “human” life, we, as humans, are alive. An angel, as a spiritual creature, is alive as a spiritual creature. Don’t let your feathers get too ruffled in such discussions.

Haha, thanks! I won’t get to bent out of shape about it… I just never heard that Angels are not alive. Surely they have life even if it is not material as we know it…

Exactly! 👍
Nice to talk to you again Skye_Ariel 🙂

It was an odd thread I have to admit… A few of the things they were saying didn’t sit quite right with me…

Here is the link if you want to check it out forums.catholic-questions.org/showthread.php?t=778263

Let me know your thoughts and as always may God bless you!!!
Cool thanks! Nice to talk to you again too! 🙂 Thanks for the link! I’m gonna check it out now. 👍

This is how I understood it, hope is right, please correct me if necessary:
angels and devils have a different living than us; they do not need a body to do whatever they do; we need a body to live or to do anything;
when people go to hell, only the soul goes there and can do nothing but to pray; the devil is able to torture the soul in the hell because he doesn’t need a body to do his thing
when people go to heaven, thing are different depending on their holyness: some are able only to pray, but Holy Virgin is Queen in Heaven, who was assumpted body and soul into heaven.

I think after the resurrection we are reunited with our bodies… Granted they are perfected bodies that will be different than those we have on earth (I always picture this body as Jesus during the transfiguration)
