Anger and anxiety issues

Please pray for my terrible irritability, anger, and anxiety issues. They’ve made things tough for almost as long as I can remember, but recently they’ve been destroying my relationship with my mom. I just can’t control myself, and get irritated and angry at almost anything she does or says. The anxiety almost always makes socializing hard, and I obsess over every little detail of the situation. I really need God’s help, but I currently can’t receive communion and getting to confession is hard because a) I rely on rides from my mom and b)my schedule is extremely busy. I really need prayers.
 
But you’re good at heart and want to be kind and loving and for things to be right between you and your Mom. I’ll be praying or you Alex, and your Mom, that you can resolve these things and live the wholesome way you desire and that God desires for you. I guess it’s complicated…and you need God’s light and love.
 
Recognizing a problem is the first step to solving it. 🙂 You may want to talk to a doctor about this problem also. I will keep you in my prayers.
 
I am so proud of you for recognizing your anxiety. I understand how you feel completely! I, myself, suffer from anxiety and I know how damaging it can to be relationships. I am praying for you that learn to cope with it and that God will help you repair things with your Mom!
 
Would it be possible for you to ride a bus or a bicycle to get to confession?

@ reindeer: I’ll see about my bike, but I usually have to ask my mom to ride outside of the neighborhood, and I have no idea how to approach her right now. She’s just been ignoring me, and has essentially left me to live on my own in our house unless she wants something in particular done.
I’m just so confused, and need these prayers more than ever. I’ve tried to tell her in the past that I try not to act like this, and she just tells me I must not be trying hard enough.😦

relying on someone else for transportation is tough, esp. if public transport in your area is not good, but if we get too busy for God that is a sign we need to reorder our priorities.

Hi Alex,

My mom was a very difficult woman to live with and my dad was gone a lot because
of his job. My mom used to say she was a part-time widow. She was a mean woman.
I thank God that the last 4 years of her life healing took place. It’s too bad about
your mom. I definately will pray for you.
