Has anyone heard any more about the process and/or timeline for setting these up? there seems to be a fair amount of interest among Anglican clergy and even among at least one RC clergyman who is currently Anglican Use.

As I understand the TAC has not made an official decision or at least some diocese have not. I imagine that though the desire was expressed for unification there will have to be decisions made regarding giving up status if you are a Bishop and so on. Even though the structure allows these Bishops who must become priests to have the status of retired RC Bishops and have their coat of arms it is still not the same thing. But then one has to decide which is more important (a title or being part of what you consider to be the church Christ founded and in union with the Holy Father).

I suppose that without the Ordinariate structure in place in is hard for anyone to affiliate. I think at this point most RC dioceses are not too sure what is going on so know one quite knows except to say…wait.
 
The ArchBishop of the TAC has told his Bishops world wide to have their Synods and results completed by Easter so a reply can be given to Rome.

Website www.theanglocatholic.com is a website setup by the senior (?) warden of the Cathedral in Orlando. Here you can read documents, find parishes forming, Clergy willing to help. I have found this site to be the most informative of what I have come across. Most of the standard and most known Anglican sites are thoroughly protestant/calvinist and are either opposed or ignoring the Anglican Constitution. The continuing site run by the Anglican Catholic Church is downright hostile to any notion of union with Rome, unless Rome repents of her sins and joins the Anglican Catholic Church!:rolleyes: I have not see pigs fly yet, but hey some of us do create fantasy worlds to live in.😛

There is much interest by laity and clergy (Anglican). But do not expect a flood at first. Why? Anglicanism has been in chaos and confusion since the 1960’s. Many laity and clergy have had or been told a fix was coming only to have it not work, blow up in their face or cause a splintering of the Communion. Many Anglicans I have talked with are waiting to see if it truly happens or as one salty ole guy said “I’ll wait to see if the bishops muck this up also.”😊 Now once it is up and working, I think you will see Anglicans walking over the bridge. Those that are truly catholic. Watch +Ikers’s diocese in Texas. His is the most Catholic in the ACNA. He has many clergy chomping at the bit to go to Rome. Some have already left. He has told ++Ducan to stop ordaining women, and has hinted of taking his diocese out of the ACNA. Read an interview he had with Virtue on line.

Do the local Catholic Bishops know what is going on? For the most part no, in my experience. The Chancellor of the local diocese as of this afternoon had not even read the Constitution and norms. I went to the vatican website and downloaded it for him. A friend who is a deacon in another Catholic Diocese called me in fustration as he is to hold a forum on the Constitution and he can not get any good information from his diocese. He also did not know of the documents just referenced. Anglicans and Catholics are now assuming what they think will happen, before Rome speaks. For the information I have gleened, the ordinariates will happen not in years, but months. Catholic parishes who are already Anglican Use are preparing to join the ordinariates soon. According to what their Priests and Bishops are indicating. On the website listed earlier there is a letter from an Catholic priest,who is Anglican Use and has a very large parish in Texas, on a conversation he had with his Bishop.

Everything is very encouraging for those who wish to have unity with the Holy See.

Very interesting. Thanks for posting it Father.

I am very impressed with Benedict XVI. He is the right man for this time in the life of the church. May God grant him many more years of service.
